The 10m³ skip bin is the largest standard size we offer, designed specifically for jobs that generate a large volume of waste rather than heavy materials. It can hold the equivalent of ten heaped 6×4 trailer loads or forty-one 240L wheelie bins. For many projects, choosing a smaller bin often means needing to book a second one, so the 10m³ bin is ideal for avoiding multiple hires.
This size is perfect for whole-house projects such as full house clearouts, clearing deceased estates room by room, and handling construction or demolition off-cuts. Builders and landscapers also rely on it for week-long jobs where waste accumulates continuously. The bin is built to handle bulky, lightweight materials efficiently.
Below you’ll find details on the pricing and what’s included, the bin’s dimensions, the waste types suitable for this size, and tips on how to load it effectively. Choosing the right size upfront saves money, as booking a second bin due to underestimating volume usually costs more than hiring the correct bin from the start.
Bins can be delivered on the same day if ordered before 10am, otherwise they will be delivered within 24 hours.
Our skip bins range from 2m³ to 10m³, sizes that will suit most projects.

Weight over the included allowance is billed per 100kg at the waste facility’s current rate.
Ten heaped 6×4 trailer loads, or 41 wheelie bins, go into a 10m³ before it is level with the rim. That covers the quantity of bulky furniture and clutter a full house clearout turns out, or a week of off-cuts, packaging and stripped-out material on a building site. Each 240L wheelie bin counts as roughly a quarter of a cubic metre. The 10m3 skip bin is designed to help you dispose of your waste in an efficient and convenient manner – with most of it going to recycling centres instead of landfill.
Choose the 10m³ when the job is whole-house scale. Clearing a house before it sells, emptying an estate, or running a demolition strip-out all produce more volume than a mid-size bin will hold. Based on real customer experience – bulky light waste is what it handles best, which covers old furniture, packaging, carpet, shed contents and timber off-cuts. For anything larger again, our hook lift bins run from 10m³ to 25m³. A 10m3 Hook Lift bin is suitable for large loads of concrete, brick, tile, sand and soil.
Running the job from one large bin also keeps a site under control. Waste goes straight over the side instead of building into piles around the yard, and nobody has to stop and wait on a second delivery. On a construction job that means fewer trip hazards and a clear working area at the end of each day.
Concrete, brick, tile and soil are not accepted in this size. Concrete, brick and tile belong in a 4m³ or smaller, each booked as its own load with tip fees included. Soil and clean fill are handled the same way, in a 3m³ or a 2m³ skip bin. Book a Hook Lift bin if you need to dispose of large amounts of this type of waste.
Declare these when you book so we can quote them properly.
We are strictly unable to take asbestos or fibro in a standard bin. Hazardous material of that kind needs specialised disposal, so it is handled by prior arrangement only. We can supply a separate bin for it, please contact us.
Fill it to the rim and no higher. How the load is packed decides whether it all fits, and whether the bin gets collected on the day.
This bin is 4.50m long, so the drop point needs that much clear, level ground with room to work around it. Sloping and stepped driveways are the usual sticking point at this size. Measure your access to ensure the truck will fit, not just the bin. The bin is 1.50m wide, but the truck that delivers it is 2.50m wide, and the driver needs extra space beside it to operate the controls. Accessibility is extremely important to ensure an easy and prompt delivery. Ground that falls away partway along will not hold a bin of this length flat, and it has to sit flat to be loaded and collected.
Length is the governing constraint here, so the truck’s approach line matters as much as the drop point itself. It needs to line up straight and clear the last few metres without swinging wide. Check for anything hanging over the spot as well, because the delivery needs clear space above the bin and not only around it. If you are unsure, describe the site to us at booking and we will tell you whether a 10m³ suits it or if we need to find a more ideal solution.
Our 10m3 skip bin measures 4.5m long, 1.5m wide and 1.6m high. Those are the tallest sides of all the bins we offer , so plan the load before you start filling. Put the bulky furniture in first, while you can still reach over the side to place it where you want it. Leave working space along the full 4.50m as well, because you will be moving around the bin as it fills.
Packing is where most of the saving sits on a bin this size. Break furniture down, flatten boxes and pull cupboards apart before they go in, because empty air is what fills a 10m³ fastest. Load the bulky items first, then fit the smaller waste into the gaps around them. Fill to the rim and no higher, since an overfilled bin cannot legally be transported and a futile collection fee applies.
Keep the weight honest as well. The 1.5 tonne allowance is generous for household and demolition waste, and dense material is the only thing likely to push a load past it. Anything over the allowance is added in 100kg increments at the facility’s going rate. Ring us with a description of the load if you are not certain which stream it belongs to. See the full waste types list.
We have a large range of skip bins available, from a 2m³ up to a 10m³. Not every job is a perfect fit for a 10m³, and we would rather send the bin that suits the work. If you need a bigger bin, view our hook lift bins.
Skip bin size
The smallest drop-off skip, for single-room clean-ups, garage tidies and small garden loads. It fits limited-access properties and holds about eight 240L wheelie bins.
Best suited for
Skip bin size
Our most popular hire — household cleanouts, large garden tidy-ups and renovations. The extra height over the 2m³ takes bulky items such as whitegoods, on the same footprint.
Best suited for
Skip bin size
Twice as long as the 3m³ but only 0.9m high, so heavy or bulky material loads over the side easily. Good for garage clearouts, landscaping and mixed renovation waste, and it still fits most driveways.
Best suited for
Skip bin size
For multi-room renovations, office clean-ups and factory waste. It holds about six box trailer loads, and it needs clear width, clear height and level ground to be placed.

A 10m³ skip bin starts from $865 for general/mixed waste and green waste, with a 1.5 tonne weight allowance, delivery, 7 days hire and collection all included. Anything over the allowance is added in 100kg increments at the facility’s going rate.
Around ten heaped 6×4 box trailer loads, or 41 standard 240L wheelie bins. That is enough for the bulky furniture, clutter and stripped-out fittings a full house clearout produces, or a week of off-cuts and packaging on a construction job.
The hire price includes 1.5 tonnes for a general or green waste load. Anything past that allowance is billed per 100kg at the facility rate.
No. Book concrete, brick and tile into a 4m³ or smaller. Soil and clean fill belong in a 3m³ or a 2m³ skip bin.
4.50m long, 1.50m wide and 1.60m high. Plan for more room than the footprint at the drop point, because the truck needs a straight approach and space to work.
All of our skip bins include 7 days hire. Need longer and we can extend it on request, with a surcharge that varies by bin size. House clearouts have a habit of stretching, so flag it early if yours might. Bins that fill ahead of schedule can be collected sooner once you let us know.
If the bin is on your own driveway or in your yard there is no permit needed. It is only when the bin has to stand on public land that one is required, so a kerbside spot, a nature strip or a footpath placement triggers it. In Newcastle and Lake Macquarie that permit costs $132.00, and our staff will lodge the application for you.
The following are never accepted in any bin: asbestos and fibro cement sheeting, food and liquids, chemicals, wet paint and paint tins, gas bottles, batteries, medical waste including sharps, polystyrene and nappies. Villaboard is subject to approval. Large amounts of brick, concrete, sand or tile can not go in this bin – book a 10m3 Hook Lift bin instead. Some items are charged on top, so declare them at booking: mattresses ($65), car and truck tyres ($70), fire extinguishers and stumps thicker than 30cm.
Most skip hire bins go out within 24 hours of the booking being confirmed. Depending on the time you book your skip bin, we can offer same day delivery if you do not require a council permit. Tell us your suburb and we will confirm a delivery day on the spot. We deliver across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Central Coast.
