A 2m³ skip bin is ideal for projects such as single-room clean-outs, minor household cleanups, garage or shed tidying, small garden waste removal, or pre-move decluttering. Choosing a 2m³ skip bin is a cost-effective alternative when a trailer run to the tip would require three or four trips.
A 2 metre cubed skip bin holds approximately two heaped 6×4 box trailer loads, eight 240L wheelie bins or about 20-30 average rubbish bags. It is the smallest bin we deliver by truck, featuring sides that are low enough to easily load items such as chairs, rolled carpets, or bags of garden clippings over the top.
This page includes pricing for each waste type, dimensions, suitable materials, restrictions, and access requirements. Taking the time to select the right sized skip bin upfront can save you both time and money, as ordering an additional bin later will cost more than booking a slightly larger size initially.
Bins can be delivered on the same day if ordered before 10am, otherwise they will be delivered within 24 hours.

Four 240L wheelie bins fill about one cubic metre, and so does one heaped 6×4 box trailer. A 2m³ skip bin holds twice that amount — or eight wheelie bins. This size is perfect for jobs like single-room clean outs, garden maintenance, and general decluttering. It’s enough space to clear a spare room, tidy up a garage, or spend a morning cutting back the garden.
This size is ideal for weekend projects, single-room clean-outs, garage or shed tidying, small garden waste removal, or pre-move decluttering. It’s a cost-effective choice that helps you avoid paying for unused space, making it perfect for smaller jobs. It’s a great choice for clearing out a spare room, organizing a garage, managing garden clippings, or preparing for a move.
Keep in mind that the 2m³ and 3m³ bins share the same footprint, only the height differs, so upgrading to a slightly larger skip size doesn’t require additional driveway space and can save you from ordering multiple bins.
The low sides on a 2m3 skip bin make a real difference on a small job. At 0.90m high, you can tip waste over the edge instead of lifting it overhead, which helps if you are loading on your own or shifting awkward items like a bed base or a barrow of clippings.
Please declare these when you book so we can quote them properly.
We are strictly unable to take asbestos or fibro in a standard bin. Hazardous material of that kind needs specialised disposal, so it is handled by prior arrangement only. We can supply a separate bin for it, please contact us.
How you pack the waste into the skip bin determines whether everything fits and if the bin can be collected on schedule. Proper loading techniques ensure you get the most out of your 2m³ skip bin while avoiding extra fees or delays.
This is the smallest skip bin in our fleet, so a standard driveway or a firm, level spot the truck can reach will hold it. Steep slopes and soft lawn are the two surfaces to avoid. Measure your access to ensure the truck will fit, not just the bin. The bin is 1.50m wide, but the truck that delivers it is 2.50m, and the driver needs extra space beside it to operate the controls. The truck reverses in to place the bin, and the bin travels above truck height on the way down, so keep the spot clear of parked cars, wheelie bins and low branches.
To ensure we can place the bin efficiently and provide you a great service, please ensure there is a clear drop off / pickup location when booking.
The dimensions of our 2m3 skip are 1.8m long, 1.5m wide and 0.9m high. If this size is too small, we offer skip bins from 2m3 to 10m3 to suit all jobs.
Maximise your savings with a 2m³ skip bin by managing both weight and space efficiently. This bin includes a 300kg weight allowance so it’s important to avoid mixing heavy materials like soil, bricks, and broken concrete with general waste. These heavy items quickly use up your weight limit and can increase costs. Instead, book heavy materials separately where tipping fees are included in the price.
To make the most of the available space, break down bulky items such as shelving, flatten boxes, and cut branches into smaller pieces before loading. Properly preparing your waste allows you to fit noticeably more into your 2 cubic metres.
If you’re unsure about which waste category your load falls into, it’s best to call us before delivery. Our team can guide you to the right option, ensuring your bin is correctly booked and your waste is disposed of responsibly. For a complete list of accepted waste types, please see the full waste types list.
We run six skip bins, from a 2m³ to a 10m³ bin, so there are bigger options if it’s a large project. Not every job is a perfect fit for a 2m³, and we would rather send the bin that suits the work.
Skip bin size
Our most popular hire — household cleanouts, large garden tidy-ups and renovations. The extra height over the 2m³ takes bulky items such as whitegoods, on the same footprint.
Best suited for
Skip bin size
Twice as long as the 3m³ but only 0.9m high, so heavy or bulky material loads over the side easily. Good for garage clearouts, landscaping and mixed renovation waste, and it still fits most driveways.
Best suited for
Skip bin size
For multi-room renovations, office clean-ups and factory waste. It holds about six box trailer loads, and it needs clear width, clear height and level ground to be placed.

Our largest drop-off bin, for full house clearouts, large bulky loads and major renovations. It takes about ten box trailer loads, and it needs clear space and level ground.

Sizing, pricing, weight and access — the questions we get asked about this bin.
Hire starts at $335 for a general or mixed waste load. That covers delivery, 7 days on site, collection and a 300kg weight allowance. Green waste is the same price. Concrete, brick and tile is also from $335 with all tip fees included, and soil and clean fill is from $435.
Two heaped 6×4 box trailer loads, or eight standard 240L wheelie bins. To give you an idea, that is enough for the contents of a single-car garage including a workbench, 6-7 boxes and a stack of old timber shelving.
Every 2m³ comes with 300kg included for general or green waste. Once the load passes that mark, the extra is charged per 100kg at the current rate of the facility we tip at. Heavy loads work out cheaper booked as concrete, brick and tile, or as soil and clean fill, where tip fees are included.
Yes but book it as a concrete, brick and tile bin. The price starts at $335 with all tip fees included. Nothing else can go in with it, and each piece needs to measure under 700mm by 700mm. If you put concrete in a general waste bin it can use up your 300kg allowance quickly.
1.80m long, 1.50m wide and 0.90m high. The footprint is identical to the 3m³ and only the height changes, so the ground you need is the same for either. Leave clearance in front for the truck to reverse in, and check nothing is in the way of the drop point before delivery day.
All of our skip bins include 7 days hire. If you need it longer, ask before your collection date and we will extend it for a surcharge that depends on the bin size. Finish ahead of time and we are happy to collect early, so give us a call.
If the bin is on your own driveway or in your yard there is no permit needed. It is only when the bin has to stand on public land that one is required, so a kerbside spot, a nature strip or a footpath placement triggers it. In Newcastle and Lake Macquarie that permit costs $132.00, and our staff will lodge the application for you.
Asbestos and fibro cement sheeting are never accepted, and neither are food and liquids, chemicals, wet paint and paint tins, gas bottles, batteries, medical waste including sharps, polystyrene or nappies. Villaboard is subject to approval. Mattresses are charged at $65, tyres at $70, and additional fees apply for fire extinguishers and stumps over 30cm in diameter.
Most skip hire bins go out within 24 hours of the booking being confirmed. Depending on the time you book your skip bin, we can offer same day delivery if you do not require a council permit. Tell us your suburb and we will confirm a delivery day on the spot. We deliver across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Central Coast.
